Trend Bar: Lace Up Your Life

I may not believe in Strobing (it’s the makeup Santa Claus) Beauty but I do believe that its time to Lace Up Fashion! (And it feels a little bit Game of Thronesy).

I was first intrigued by this lace-up collar (would you call it a collar detail?) when I saw these photo’s of Lauren Elizabeth’s Vegas Birthday bash a few weeks ago.

Of course I immediately search on The Hunt App to find out where she got her top from. And me and my friends from the App think it is probably this one from Windsor.

Black Dance with Somebody Bodysuit, $36.90

At a super affordable price this piece is great to try out this trend.

Since I found this top, and ‘Umm and Ahh’d’ over getting it, I have seen the Lace-Up top/dress/playsuit trend pop-up everywhere in my Instagram Feed.

(Ohhh just checking out the #laceup now I found these, taking lace-up to the next level.)

Luxa Temptation Black $55.99

Okay so let’s into how what to buy and how to style these bad boys.

So I’m loving the lace up front body suit like Lauren’s or this one from Asos.

Naa Naa Lace Up Front Bodysuit, $62

I think this would be amazing with high waisted coated black jeans (or disco pants) and a thin patent leather black belt with gold detail (I have thought about this a lot).

Or even this Top Shop Skirt which is also firmly on my shopping list for the coming Spring!!

I like that they both have long sleeves to offset the deep neckline. And because of the intricate neckline I like to keep accessories and jewellery to a minimum.

Perhaps a delicate necklace or bracelet (look no further than Lauren’s whole outfit really.

For even more bang for your trend buck you can go for a Laceup Playsuit or dress, hello two trends in one at a super affordable price.

Feeling Alive Playsuit (pre-order), $59

Or perhaps a lace up front dress like this one from Beginning Boutique.

Vegabond Black Dress, $69

Do you like the lace trend or is it a little vampire/70’s meet grown-up goth?

I think I’m committed to the Asos number, although I really want to try a Windsor Store as I have never purchases there before. Has anyone else? Advice?

Love Ya,
